As a trainer or therapist, how do you bridge the gap between injury and performance?
The Movement & Performance Therapy Specialist Certification provides you with the tools to assess functional and biomechanical deficits related to injuries. It establishes a theoretical and strategic framework for applying the principles of periodization to design structured rehabilitation programs that maximize healing while optimizing performance.
The certification includes 15 hours of online preparatory work and a 3-day live practical internship that includes case studies and practical group workshops.
MOVEMENT OPTIMIZATION LEVEL 1 AND LEVEL 2
The Level 1 online pre-course work will provide you with principles to effectively assess and establish the fundamentals of movement: mobility, stability/motor control, patterning and sequencing.
The Level 2 online pre-course work focuses on rehab periodization to effectively create adaptation, manage load, drive progress, and maximize performance while still protecting the injury. Common injuries such as rotator cuff and patellofemoral tendinopathy, hip impingement and low back pain are extensively covered.
Our online courses are supported by in-depth video content to provide you with a captivating and complete learning experience. The online training is a lifetime access and can be completed at your own pace but must be entirely validated before the 3-day live practical internship.
LIVE INTERNSHIP
In the 3-day live internship, the practical elements of the course are re-emphasized so that you can leave the certification with practical knowledge to apply immediately.
With the help of case studies and practical group workshops, the internship will allow you to put into practice the theoretical concepts, assessments and interventions acquired during the online pre-course work.
The internship prepares you for your Specialist exam and allows you to obtain your certification and Specialist badge.

Movement Optimization is about identifying and addressing the specific functional barriers that limit your movement (mobility, stability and motor control) and prevent you from achieving your optimal performance potential. This 12-week package provides you with a specific regimen that can be utilized as a stand-alone program or as an add-on to your current training regimen/performance programming. Where needed, we work in collaboration with your strength coach/trainer to integrate appropriate correctives that target movement deficits specific to your training to optimize performance and prevent injury.
Your 12-week session begins with a Skype kick-off call where we discuss your current training regimen and areas for improvement. A second Skype call will follow post-assessment, so that we can discuss our findings and explain the prescribed programming. Videos of all prescribed exercises are accessible in the video library. Your strength coach/trainer is welcome to participate in all Skype calls.
